What the table is actually doing
A scenario table does not forecast prices. It feeds one assumption — "what if it moves by this percentage" — into the same set of formulas and lays the results out side by side.
The default grid covers the common −50% to +100% range, and any custom change you enter is appended as an extra row.
Formulas
current price × (1 + change)capital × (1 + change)position value − capitalP&L ÷ capital × 100%Worked example (recompute it yourself)
Current price 40,000 USDT, capital 2,000 USDT:
At +20%: price = 40,000 × 1.20 = 48,000 USDT, value = 2,000 × 1.20 = 2,400 USDT, P&L = +400 USDT.
At −30%: price = 40,000 × 0.70 = 28,000 USDT, value = 2,000 × 0.70 = 1,400 USDT, P&L = −600 USDT.

Current price 40,000 USDT, capital 2,000 USDT, excluding fees and slippage.
How to read it
- The 0% row is the baseline: P&L is zero and the price is simply the current price, which is a quick sanity check on the other rows.
- Because there is only one multiplication, the change and the P&L move in strict proportion on both sides.
- The theoretical floor for a change is −100% (the position goes to zero); the default grid stops at −50%. There is no ceiling on the upside, so the grid runs to +100%.
- The table excludes fees. Include trading costs and every P&L figure becomes slightly smaller.
Notes
Every row is an assumption, not a forecast, and it carries no probability or likelihood.
Once the price moves, regenerate the table with the new current price, otherwise the numbers drift out of date.
FAQ
How is this different from the profit calculator?
The scenario table applies "change × capital" to several assumptions at once and ignores fees and fills. The profit calculator works from a buy price, a sell price and your fee rate.
Can I look at just one row?
Yes. If you only care about one specific move, enter it in the custom field and the calculator returns the same figures as an extra row.
Why does the default grid stop at −50%?
The default steps are spaced for the common range. For deeper or finer steps, enter them one at a time in the custom field.
