How to work out the quantity
The quantity you buy is "amount ÷ buy price": the higher the BTC price, the fewer coins the same money buys.
Most exchanges deduct the buy fee from the fill, so the coins you actually receive are slightly fewer: coins = amount × (1 − fee rate) ÷ buy price.
Formulas
amount ÷ buy priceamount × (1 − fee rate) ÷ buy priceamount × fee rateWorked example (recompute it yourself)
Invest 1,000 USDT at a BTC price of 78,400 USDT with a 0.1% fee:
Nominal coins = 1,000 ÷ 78,400 ≈ 0.01275510 BTC.
Buy fee = 1,000 × 0.1% = 1.00 USDT, so coins received = 999 ÷ 78,400 ≈ 0.01274235 BTC.
The gap of about 0.00001275 BTC is exactly the coins the fee absorbed.
Notes
Real fills are also shaped by minimum order sizes, slippage and order-book depth; large buys usually fill above the quoted price.

FAQ
How much BTC does 1,000 USDT buy at the current price?
Divide 1,000 by the current BTC price. At the 78,400 USDT reference price that is about 0.012755 BTC; a higher price buys less.
Why is the quantity different from "amount ÷ price"?
Because the buy fee is normally deducted from the fill, so the coins credited are fewer than the nominal amount; the difference is the fee in coins.
