How to calculate it
A price-change profit depends only on your capital and the percentage: profit = capital × change, and the resulting value = capital × (1 + change).
From the 2,471 USDT reference price, a 20% rise implies a target price of 2,471 × 1.20 = 2,965.20 USDT; a 20% fall implies 1,976.80 USDT.
Formulas
current price × (1 + change)capital × changecapital × (1 + change)Worked example (recompute it yourself)
Capital 2,000 USDT, ETH up 20%:
Profit = 2,000 × 0.20 = 400 USDT; value after the move = 2,000 × 1.20 = 2,400 USDT.
With a fixed coin count you can also check it by price: one ETH rising from 2,471 to 2,965.20 gains 494.20 USDT.
Notes
Fees are excluded above. At 0.1% on both sides the realised return is about 19.76%, slightly below 20%.

FAQ
How many dollars is a 20% ETH move?
It depends on the current price. At the 2,471 USDT reference price, 20% is a 494.20 USDT move, to 2,965.20 USDT.
Is it calculated the same way as for BTC?
Yes. Price-change profit depends only on your capital and the percentage, not the asset; only the absolute move differs with the price level.
Why is the result a little lower elsewhere?
This tool is a price-change view that excludes fees. The profit calculator charges 0.1% on both sides and gives about 19.76%.
